I was just trying to locate my pack of machins, some of those which had Forces postmarks...and I'm kinda of frustrated that there's no end to my piles of stamps everywhere. And they're not even sorted properly ! It's just packets here and there, not even queued up for scanning or sorting...somebody tell me please, should I just gather everything, mix them up and re-consolidate them ? I'm feeling very overwhelmed...or should I scan and load 'em pics and place in my FB album called "Make me an offer" ?

then work through them after but first just a way to get them in some form of order that works for you. _________________ Happy Stamping!! Bear |

I think I better go and get some sleep. Feeling so cranky that I barely want to do anything. And the already-strained wrist is not working too well (have decided to skip gaming for this week) after forcing it to labor at the keyboard at work today. Good night all, tuning out for a good rest first before I run myself to the ground.

First thing to do: 1. Have a cup of tea and relax! Second thing: 2. Have another and relax some more. Third thing to do: 3. say to yourself " If stamps are going to stress me ; they are no longer fun. I will forget all about them till I can enjoy them again" Then shove everything into a big box and hide it away for a while. cheers and smile

The infamous "MONKEY MARKER" finally found me. A nice letter from Austria (stamps already soaked). Stamps carefully arranged on the envelope and lightly cancelled. No way of knowing where the MM will strike next.

I just found this thread and boy oh boy, I do not feel so alone now. You all and me are so alike. We have the same problems and gripes, and I do agree with you mister Lee on the hats and eating. But I have tried and tried, my wife's son{I married the package, no kids of my own} when he was living with me, he had to have a shirt on and hat off when we ate. These days all that is gone with him and my grandson seem all that I did is gone. and Bear I am glad thing are looking up in your S**ty situation. I also have a small stamp fund for me to play with but as above they are in a situation and we are trying to pay our bills be cause they can't. We have three kids all my wife's, and for the record I love them as my own. But what are these people going to do when I am DEAD. I can go on and on and You would not believe it, but from what I have read you all do know. I have worked hard for what I have, there were days and that is more then one, when I had no food. I would have to give this great wife of mine only $20 for foo for 3 for a week. And she did it. Times are still tough but that is because of there bills not mine. Boy this has been building. Thanks for the ears. I will add mine for you all.

Tomd I think you are doping a great job of looking after your family. That is basically what we are here for - to make sure the next generation will go on, hopefully to help their next generation. What else is important in life except family? Easy one, not much! cheers and keep it up!

Thanks, It is just some time, I was at a point, S**t or get off the pot. They do neither. But we got to keep trying, some one did not stop with me, right. But what was most help full was that I have people that do under stand what I mean. But on a lighter note but just as frustrating, what do you do when you have country named "A" who joined "B" for now called "AB" who changed there name to "Z". Do you catalog them under "Z" or as each one by them self? If life could be so simple?

I list them separately till joined and then under the new name...I go with what is on the stamp itself. A case in point would be Rhodesia... If life was simple we would all die of boredom!

This is a pet peeve of mine. I enjoy wearing hats... ball cap, cowboy hat, fedora, cabbie cap, fisherman's cap... heck I even have a top hat. Hats are a wonderful and functional accessory. No way do I step out under the sweltering summer sun without a wide brim hat atop my head.
Hats serve many, many purposes... all of which end the moment you step indoors. |
