| after putting som mcuh work on my GB album i think i may have to consider also a nice and simple US series .. i think the same time fram would be a good idea so 1900-1961 (ish) LOL
the only exemption may be my Colombian set that i am casually working on. .. i have found that one of our members has the pages i like and will be starting the printing process soon.. they are simple and in order with out images of the stamps but that will encourage me to fill it faster i think ..

| Wow some killer cancels on some of those stamps! I like the 3c US Postage centenary one, I guess the guy on the right is Benjamin F., the 1st Postmaster? A talented guy in very many ways: author, printer, political theorist, politician, postmaster, scientist, musician, inventor, satirist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat what is know as a polymath |

which reminds me i need to update another post as we have changed direction again LOL... well in the world of albums... _________________ Happy Stamping!! Bear |

| here is an interesting bit
"Benjamin Franklin was named postmaster of Philadelphia by the British Crown in 1737. The colonial post still carried mostly official and commercial correspondence, and most communications were transatlantic. Few residents of one colony needed to contact residents of another. But over the next three decades, a sense of common destiny began to unite the colonies in opposition to British rule.
Benjamin Franklin brought form to the disorganized British colonial post. In 1753 Franklin became the Crown's joint postmaster general for the American colonies. He moved quickly to improve the fledgling service. After a 1,600-mile inspection of post offices, he organized a weekly mail wagon between Philadelphia and Boston. Franklin's postal riders traveled day and night by horseback in relays, using lanterns to light their way. The service cut mail delivery time between the cities in half, making the colonial post both efficient for colonists and profitable for the Crown.
In 1774, the Crown dismissed Franklin from his position as joint Postmaster General because of his revolutionary activities. The next year, the Continental Congress appointed Benjamin Franklin postmaster general of the United Colonies. "

| Even though it has a bit of foxing at the bottom, I would definitely NOT soak them off - not only you will loose the cover but you will no longer have any kind of date information tied to the stamps.
Keep it and store it in a bone dry place. I reckon
