A neat (to me) airmail cover.

Some of these covers I have shown still contain the contents like this one. Notice how sheer this cover is. It's like some sort of rice paper or a little thicker than tissue paper. Sort of interesting anyway.

Postmark SAIGON? Really? That's awesome!

Miss. instead of MS? That made me start looking for dates right away and spotted Saigon before I spotted a date!

You buy a lot or hoard of older covers, Krash, and my experience has been... well first total elation... but there's always some ratty or less than desirable covers or whatever. Still... I collect them.

I didn't buy them actually they was a gift from Kacyds. I did find 2 German covers worth well over $450. @ so everything else in Gravy! lol I'm actually looking to trade them for a Scott #72 and/or a #1. I can trade for a #1 right now with cert but decided to hold out a little bit. I'm never that lucky but even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then!

These are valuable because they are from Munich and from the other side of the Berlin wall and first series of freedom bells and addressed to a famous person..who knew? I just posted them on another board and that thread just blew up! I hope Kris (kacyds) isn't mad...lol
Here they are:

Also as far as collecting ratty or less-than-desirable covers/stamps/esoterica..I literally just throw them away! I recently got a huge lot from bear and sorted it all out and took some stuff I wanted, giving some to a bud and the rest, well, in the bin! lol the ones I tossed was stained, damaged or had a bazillion duplicates or modern issues...and Christmas issues. I despise Christmas stamps...lol Nothing personal but that's just how I do it. No reason to keep junk right?

What the hell? I just wrote a big reply and it's GONE? right after the site denied me access??

Anyway I was refering to the Vietnam covers. I would like to know more about them. I know that Vietnamese stamps were illegal up until just recently so the potential for value is there and I don't mean a lot just more than the 20¢ that's probably listed in the catalog..lol

that cover is great man!! awesome find indeed!!

this site has been having a few glitches and i am working with our provider to find how a solution sorry for the issue.

i agree about keeping things you dont like .. kind of pat of the deal when i am pulling unpicked lots unfortunately.. ... i have considered over the next few weeks sorting the bins down and removing the damages its just a monster job.. if i do i will create smaller lots as i go instead of these big boxes..
