| Aw beautiful kitties ! Sorry about the mess but I'm sure you'll get back to re-sorting again ! One of the members (was it Butterflies or Skilo54 ?) who covers their stamps sorting with pieces of glass so them cats can't get at it. Maybe you can consider getting glass or acrylic panels (with blunt edges) to cover your draft table ? |

| Yes, well, it was very organized but now must be organized in a totally different method as my kittens Princess and Tuxedo really want to tear it up.. They have absolutely nothing to do with the table now that it is clear of stamps... odd!! right!!! I think they may have been curious as to what i was up too and wanted to give me a paw or two to help me out.......... now back to sorting and sorting and sorting all over . i have to find an area to place the table so that they can not climb the curtain and jump up on to it........... |

| Well, it is all about the little bits of paper that can fly about and absolutely infatuate the little ones. No paper, no fun in their eyes. _________________ Ignorance isn't bliss... it is just ignorance.

| Ya, I bought my first world wide stamps, they were 1,000 in that lot. The dining room table that seats 6 was full of sorted and unsorted stamps. Then poof in an instant they were a mess. My wife could not stop laughing. I must have had one heck of a look on my face. |

if it makes you feel any better here is my disaster tale.... sad part is its all true!!
i had just gotten a great packet in from a member here and was busy sorting and getting everything ready to pack up by country.. the table and the TV trays (for those who recall what they are LOL) were all around ... i had it all set up by continent and then country ... over 30 countries and around 5000 stamps 4-5 hours of work sitting there all looking great and I decide this is the moment to go out side and smoke... my cat (one of 3 at the time) decided it was time to provoke the dog into a game of chase... when i got back in side to stop the game (perhaps 40 seconds) EVERY stamp was on the floor and the TV trays were tipped over...
now i work in smaller batches and if i am out side so is the dog....

| That would have been a heart stopper for me. The whole world would have heard the thump of my jaw hitting the floor.

| But on a side note that was a good Idea of a table per continent. Under better conditions though! I have dogs that use my house as a speed track and any, and I do mean anything in there way is used as a bumper. |

Wow! I know how frustrating that can be. Never had that big of a misfortune but a series of smaller ones that all needed to be sorted over again!...frustrating is a good word and possibly an understatement. |

| I am sitting here laughing so much reading everyone's tales of woes and flying stamps! ... It makes me feel a bit more comfort now to know I'm not the only one who has had to re-sort my stamps from scratch. ... The sneeze! The kittens! The chase! The cats! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all for you so much! |

| A table or desk... that would be nice... it would be practical... it would be the way to go... but I still sit cross legged on the floor and everything eventually takes the shape of a large semicircle clearly marking where I've been sitting.
On the upside I have a whole room to work with since my youngest son struck out on his own! |
