Imagination, Krash! There's stamps out there! Go find one! I know for sure I've seen an online exhibit on microbiology, blood and organ donation and I think some thing to do with heart health so if someone can make an entire exhibitions on those subjects... just saying.

Yeah I've bought and sold tons of stamps with shrooms on them. Russian issues seem to favor the fungi I've noticed. I may put something together in the future on the topic but I'm not a topical guy.

I like the topic of this thread and would like to say I can show off stamps related to my career...I work in a hotel in the event planning department....and while I have thought about it occasionally, I have never started a topical collection of hotels on stamps and I have yet to see a stamp related to event and meeting planning.

I am sure in all the stamps I have in stock books and envelopes there is a stamp with a hotel on it but I just don't feel like looking...it would take hours.

I'm still sorting through a pile of US and GB stamps I received recently.

I think it would make for a pretty neat topical/thematic collection, Dark. Given complimentary stationery was practically the norm at one time there's lots of mail out there originating on such ephemera. I'd think it would be something that would have a nice wide variety of material posted with reasonably common and thus affordable stamps. I mean think about it... hotel stationery and pen readily available but where to get a stamp? Simple... there would have likely been a coin-operated stamp machine in or near the lobby and said stamp machine would most likely be stocked with the common postage of the day. A combination of coincidences that many years later means ample philatelic material at a reasonable often bulk rate price to the stamp collector.

I've found the following Ebay seller to be particularly good at placing for auction lots, collections and hoards of great interest. With a bit of patience you may well find in their store just the very thing that would absolutely grab your imagination and interests.

Interesting topical collection idea!

I am a genealogist. I don't think I have seen any stamps specifically dealing with genealogy, but I know there are some dealing with individual family members (mothers, grandparents, etc.)

I would love to know that some country out there has actually issued a stamp about genealogy, though.
