PostSubject: Soaking Stamps With Fuelite   Fri Jul 06, 2012 8:21 am

While going through some things online I came across this Video, This seems to me the easiest way of Soaking (if You are like me lazy all the time). Just wandering if any one has tried it and does it effect the quality of the stamp

If you use this stuff, please do it outside, so that you dont pass out. If you use the Pure Citrus, it does exactly the same thing, and its much safer. Its made from the oil of Oranges.

Only while they are 'wet' with the solvent. Fortunately they evaporate pretty quickly, leaving the stamp as they found it.

Using this type of liquid on stamps as been done for years when looking for watermarks; so presumably there is no damage.

The video shown above was made in NZ and was around a while ago. I tried the method and it works fine on all the self-adhesive (peel&stick) stamps I tried it on.
