These are difficult to find over the 2¢ denomination and even harder to find with any decent centering..I still need the 10¢ yellow (I think) or the orange one yet and need to upgrade a few yet. It's a work in progress.

work or not they are a great set .. i think these are certainly worth digging for!

mine too, but I can never find one I like that isn't waaaay overpriced? Sellers think these are rare and they are simply not. And anyway rare dosen't always translate to valuable but convincing them..forget about it!

Those are actually very nice. Makes me sort of wonder though about that purple ink C.D.S. though. I actually think it was an illegal use of a 10¢ postage stamp used in lieu of a rvenue stamp for taxes paid on documentation. It was not at all uncommon and highly sought after but hard to be absolutely positive of piece.

I've been collecting stamps for years, but I'm also missing the upper values from this set. Until I saw Gordon's scan, I didn't realize there were so many people pictured on the 10-cent design!

I've never cared for oranges and yellows as the primary color on stamps for some reason but it doesn't detract from the fact those are some nice engraving jobs on the issue(s).

Decided to scan the ones that I had in my collection and share with everyone.
