Hello, I am a collector of mainly the U.S.A. (classic period) material but have recently got interested in some early British stuff as well (eg: the Downy heads). I found your nice site from a link on another board and thought I'd drop by. Looks like a wonderful site full of helpful people and lots of helpful collective knowledge. I am really looking forward to some interesting posts and meeting fellow collectors! Thank you for having me aboard! -Krash

LOl that is my format response to new members .. it helps weed out those who are just here to sell or swap with out wanting to take part in the more interesting parts of this hobby like sharing their experiences and of course there collection itself

It's all good and I appreciate the gesture anyhow because I didn't know that there was a market place here! I'm a newbie...lol I'm still poking around on the site just trying to learn my way around a bit.

Greetings Krash101
.
Welcome aboard the Stamp Bears board. There's lots of neat new stuff to learn here and the fellow boarders try hard to teach me without getting upset. I reckon one of these days I'll learn.
.
There have been some fascinating disscussions. Don't hesitate to feel free to jump in. (I don't think I really need to say that, 'cause you've already made almost 30 posts since signing up this morning.)
.
Again, welcome.
.
Respectfully,

Gordon Lee

Thank you for the kind greetings everyone!
Yeah, I guess I sort of got carried away a bit. I was just innocently poking around the forum and kept finding all this neat stuff and great subject matter sooo...I found myself rummaging through boxes and binders and trying to find this and that...it was a real hoot too! I didn't even give a thought about post counts I was just loving it! Thank you all for the warm welcome and I hope I can contribute to your wonderful community!

Thank you for having me here it's a pleasure. I'm actually starting to attempt to learn about the early British issues so it's will really be a learning curve for me because I never collected any world wide! I had a little box all full up with some nice stuff and gave it to my good buddy TomD (whom I believe may be stopping by hint hint He sort of looks like this guy over here-> Suspect ) Seriously he would also be a great addition and I hope he does chime in here soon!

lol I bet that's what our stamps would think we looked like from their perspective! haha

He registered a few hours ago!! it takes a little to learn a new board so give him time and i am sure he will get posting !!

geez i built the place and i still find new things every week!! like the "latest member" function for the top of the main page LOL...

i had been using it to put up random stuff but i really like that function so i may leave part of it up..
