Ahhh, Clint, packets, mixes and boxes abound! We all have our own collecting interests and tastes and one of mine is an box or envelope stuffed with old material... my first "grading" of a box or mix is the smell. Does it smell old? Only one thing smells like that... old stuff and the older the better!

Just sat for the last few hours in the middle of the living room floor halfheartedly watching NCIS with The Redhead and rough sorted another gallon bag... things seem to be holding up about like the first Ziploc.

This older stuff also has another advantage... they sure are a lot easier to soak than self-adhesive stuff.

Ah yes, the older stuff is sooo much easier to get off paper than the newer stuff (self adhesives included).

Hmmm grading by smell. Suspect

It's a talent... lol. I wouldn't say "grade" by smell but the smell can determine my eagerness to dive into the mix!

Nice looking mix you have there, its always fun to go through a lot/box of stamps and see what is in there. Its a fun way to fill in many spots in your album.
