***WARNING POLITICALLY INCORRECT STATEMENTS FOLLOW AS PART OF A DISCUSSION***
the idea (at the time) was that if mom was drinking lots of barley she would make better milk for the baby. keep in mind the times and they thought little more of women than breeding, and house keeping. they concept was "if it works for a cow then it will work for her!"


In my opinion kind of slow minded even for those times.

I JUST noticed the address on the one cover. The GB QV stamps from 1892. The surname on the cover is my family name

Not the same family though as my Great Grandfather immigrated in to Canada 1907 from the UK but was a book binder in Northamptonshire.
